Prantha Junction at Lodhi Colony – A Hidden Treasure For Foodies

Posted on the 09 February 2017 by Jaideep Khanduja @PebbleInWaters

I would not hesitate to call Prantha Junction a hidden treasure of Delhi for all foodies. In fact, not many people living in the closer vicinities know about it. But then it is they who are missing a great treat of not only Paranthas but also a special range of main course and desserts, leave alone the mocktails. High points about this place are many. Firstly, there is no nonsense of Hookahs, smoking zone, and hard drinks. Secondly, this makes it a real meal-enjoying place for families and kids. Thirdly, though this is a small place of 50 odd seats 12 tables, service, cleanliness, and food are fantastic. Fourthly, it is an ideal place for a small gathering or a family/friends partying. And finally, seating is such that it can accommodate 4 on a table to a group with just a little re-arrangement.

The atmosphere at Prantha Junction is calm and soothing. Wall decors are light but rightly matching the ambiance. Lamp shades are eye-catching. It seems everything here matches to a point of perfection in a synchronous manner. It is a beautiful enclosure not to miss at any cost. And if we talk about cost, it is pocket-friendly. In fact, the value for money here is manifold the way you get a fabulously curated range of dishes. And this applies not only to Paranthas but the whole range of main course and starters. I would like to give a perfect ten on ten to Prantha Junction. This casual dining restaurant in Mehar Chand Market at Lodhi Colony offers North Indian food but with a unique signature of its own. In fact, I would recommend to try it for Valentines Day Lunch or Dinner.

There are many specialties here and that too unique ones. Where else will you get Khadha Papad Paneer Tikka in starters? And that too with excellent preparation & taste. As a matter of fact, I would suggest you order a veg platter or a non-veg platter as per your choice to start with. But before that, also try Chicken Soup. It comes with a different flavor and taste. In Paranthas I ordered for a Paneer Methi Parantha in veg and Chicken Pyaz Parantha in non-veg. Both were excellent in taste carrying their unique individual flavors. And in fact, Paranthas here are not at all heavy. Credit for that goes to the Chef at Prantha Junction. The main course dishes are finely curated not only name wise but taste wise also. I tried Shabnam Curry in veg. And in non-veg, it was Silky Chicken and Prawn Curry.
