some said
Some said,
“Brazen arrogance”
But they never bothered her
She was preoccupied
with her own demons
a blemished past,
and a hundred shattered dreams
Tired of her self inflicted misery
she found peace and happiness
in her success
and work
and a small life that she built around her
away from negativity and imperfections
her people loved her
But the world,
still calls her,
“A pretentious little Jane”
