Princess Peppa is in Town - Princess Peppa's Palace & Enchanting TowerReview

Posted on the 12 August 2016 by Mummysspace @mmeeee
My twins are huge Peppa Pig fans, they love Peppa and George and often pretend to be them, therefore they were over the moon when some recent Princess Peppa's Palace  playsets arrived for review. We received Princess Peppa's Palace and Peppa's Enchanted Tower. Both sets are amazingly detailed and true to the TV show that little fans will love them.

Princess Peppa's Palace

Peppa's Princess Palace is just what you would expect a Princess palace to be, it is glittery and full of rooms to explore and packed with characters and accessories to play with. The level of detail that has gone into this playset to make it as close to the show as possible has to be mentioned, just take a look at all the room designs in the pictures below, they really have though and included everything from the drawings and pictures on the wall and the little mice in the kitchen. I also love the flags and the balconies which make it look just as a palace should.

Princess Peppa complete with crown, Sir George the Knight decked out in his magic armor and Suzy Sheep the Princess Fairy with her pink fairy wings and wand are all included which I was very pleased to see as I always find it disappointing when you have to buy add on figures. For me, this means that straight away the playability factor is bumped up to max as little fans imaginations are sparked having all their favorite characters from the show in their hands and the ability to take them on adventures in their new Palace with familiar surroundings right in front of them. I love watching and observing the play that unfolds when this happens.

The furniture included in the set certainly lends itself to hours of imaginative play, there are beds with pillows for Peppa and George and their favorite comfort toys namely George's green dinosaur and Peppa's teddy, a very cute bath with overhead shower, regal styled chairs and a pink throne that fit perfectly with the palace surrounds and are cleverly designed to let the characters sit properly on them, along with a spinning free standing mirror which Zoey loves, an old fashioned stove styled oven, jelly mould, wardrobe and of course a treasure chest much to Zachary's delight.

This playset really does contain it all, it even folds up neatly for easy storage which is a definite bonus for parents.

Peppa's Once Upon a Time Enchanting Tower

This playset is smaller in size than the Princess Palace but is on par with details and playability. It is glittery and magical complete with two balconies, flag, rotating door and ballroom steps.

The rooms are wonderfully decorated with pictures of Peppa, George and family, toys familiar from the show and even the little white mouse makes an appearance here too.

The set comes with an articulated Peppa figure, impressive four poster bed with pillow and a magic mirror that with a flip changes Peppa's outfit.

The rotating door is a hit with the twins who love helping Peppa make her grand entrance through it. Again this playset wins with me for it's easy foldable storage.  Princess Peppa is in Town - Princess Peppa's Palace & Enchanting TowerReview

Our Verdict

My twins, aged 3 love these playsets and their older brother who is 6 even joins in playing with them, you are never too old for Peppa and George. I love the detail that has gone into these playsets, the designers really have gone to great lengths to make sure that the toys match with the show. The characters are all articulated and can sit in chairs, lie in the beds, take baths, serenade each other from the balconies and so on.
Zoey and Zachary love the rotating doors and mirrors and there have been endless moments of hilarious laughter as one peeks in through the windows of the palace or tower from the other side and pretends to be a giant peering in, they blame Suzy Sheep for casting a magic spell and "growing them".

These playsets are definitely suitable for both boys and girls to play with as my two can attest to. There is so much to do in them thanks to the design, quality and accessories included that they make the perfect toys for Peppa fans. I can highly recommend them.

Where to Buy

These Princess Peppa Playsets are available to buy from Smyths Toys along with a fantastic range of others and are well worth checking out if you have Peppa Pig fans as you will not be disappointed.
