Random Thoughts....

Hi. It's been a while isn't it? It's been a while since I really sat down and blogged. It's been a while since I got my creative writing juices running. It's been a while since I had the inspiration to talk about something. So here is what I have been thinking about or have done  lately.

  • I went to the best musical ever! I got tickets to see Mary Poppins in Perth for my birthday (thanks Tiff) and I have to say that I was GOBSMACKED! Although I have never been to many musicals, I have to say, the next one I go to will have a pretty high bar to go over. It was AMAZING. I absolutely loved everything about the musical. The cast, the songs, the special effects! OWH MY GOD! I couldn't stop talking about it for DAYS!

  • I went to the NKOTBSB concert last Tuesday (again a birthday gift but this time from my sister Nana) and once again was transported back to my teenage years. I think it was the best time in my life. I knew every single song that they sang and I have to say I was singing my heart out and I have to admit, I was squeeling like a teenage girl! The whole time I was at the concert I was thinking, should I be jumping up and down and squeeling? I am a mothter to a 22 month old toddler and I am 32 for goodness sake! HAHAHA I was labeled a crazed fan girl by one of the security guards, while we, a bunch of other crazed fan girls, were waiting for the band to exit the concert in their van, but WHO CARES about labels! I was determined to see anyone from my favorite band from up close and we were lucky to see the guys from NKOTB leave the Burswood dome. And yes, we did scream like crazy fan girls.

  • I have been thinking a lot about schools lately. No they are not for me but for the Lil' Tiger. We have to put her names to a few schools and we have to do it quickly before they fill up. It's a little bit stressful for me. I went to a public school and I never knew what it was like to go to a private school. We have a local primary school near by but we have not heard the best things about the school. M really wants to send her to a private school but we do not know which ones to send her to. All I know is I want her to get the best education that she can have. I want to be able to provide her with as many choices as I can provide her with. I know my parents did really well with our education and I now know the sacrifices that they did for us sisters. How did you choose a school for your child? What are your criteria?

  • Also on my mind, or on my hands, crocheting. I have been making a lot of beanies and cowls for friends. Winter is the perfect time to crochet I think. I have been doing it on the train, while waiting for my bus and during my lunch break. I have not been this creatively busy since before I had the Lil' Tiger and I have to say, I am enjoying every minute of it. Of course with all this crocheting, I have not been able to do anything else like reading my blogs or writing up posts for my blog. There is just not enough time in a day to do everything or anything else but I have told myself to slow down a little bit so that I can do other stuff.

  • I am going to run a competition soon so please stay tune to the blog or better yet, "LIKE" my facebook page and you will get an update and an exclusive IN to the competition. Make sure you tell your friends to "LIKE" my page as well so that you and they have an extra chance to win.
