According to Ben and Jerry's, peanut butter cups are the most requested ingredient ever and it seems like they have had a fair bit of hassle from UK ice cream fans to bring this flavor over from the USA and they listened! It is available in Sainsbury's and contains 320 calories per 100g.We do already have a peanut butter Ben and Jerry's in the UK in the form of Peanut Butter Me Up but this contains jam and I have to admit I haven't bothered trying it because peanut butter and jam combos just don't really do it for me. This is the ice cream that Peanut Butter Me Up should have been!
As you can see from the above cross section of my tub, it is pretty packed with those lovely peanut butter cups. They are not small ones either!
The best thing about this ice cream is that it is not just a boring vanilla with a few cups scattered throughout, the ice cream itself is actually peanut butter flavor too and it is quite frankly awesome. It tasted sweet with a hint of saltiness and despite it being a peanut butter packed ice cream which I feared may be a little dry, it was creamy and delicious!
Verdict
Well there isn't really much more to say about this ice cream other than if you like peanut butter then you will love this. This is definitely my favorite Ben and Jerry's ever! More flavours from the USA please!
