You may remember that last year I reviewed Foster's Radler which at the time was a new beer combining Foster's lager with lemon. I really enjoyed this drink as it was easy to drink and refreshing. I was recently contacted and asked if I fancied reviewing the new lime and ginger flavor but as many of you will know that I am pregnant so unfortunately I was unable to try it. However the lovely people at the PR agency sent me some Foster's Radler 0.0% instead!
It's on offer at the moment in Sainsbury's for £2.50 for 4x 300ml bottles. I've only recently started trying alcohol free versions of normally alcoholic drinks, having never had the need for them before but I have to say that I am quite impressed. The regular Foster's Radler is only 2% alc/vol but I didn't miss that 2% in the 0% version, it tasted much the same to me! It still tasted like a weak larger with lemon which is just what I enjoyed about Foster's Radler in the first place so it's great that I can still enjoy it.
Verdict
Foster's Radler 0.0% is definitely a drink that I will be having again. It's the same refreshing taste of the regular Foster's Radler without the booze so perfect for pregnant ladies or people avoiding alcohol.
