Laimon Fresh Sparkling Lemon-Lime & Mint Drink
Laimon Fresh is a 100% natural sparkling lemon-lime and mint drink. Yes you read that right, mint! This sounded very interesting so when I was recently contacted by a PR agency and asked if I would like to try it, I was very keen.
It comes in 330ml cans, 500ml bottles and larger 1.5 liter bottles. It is available in Tesco Extra, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Nisa and a few others (you can check out the full list here). It contains 47.2 calories per 100ml.

It looks a bit like cloudy lemonade and the smell is more of the mint with a slight hint of citrus. The taste is quite unlike anything that I have ever tried! At first I was hit with a slightly bitter citrus flavor but then it is very quickly mellowed by the mint with a sweet after taste. It's only sparkling rather than fizzy which is very pleasant and makes it a very refreshing drink.
Verdict
Laimon Fresh is quite strange but I enjoyed it and I imagine that you could make some fantastic cocktails with this drink. I was sent a recipe which sadly I have been unable to try because I have to avoid alcohol at the moment but once I can drink again I will give it a try. I have posted it below if you would like to give it a go.

The rum comes through, although doesn t mask the lemon, mint and lime flavours.
