REVIEW! Marks and Spencer Guilt Free Snacking Cornflake ClustersPosted on the 10 January 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddict
After seeing Grocery Gem's review of M&S's Guilt Free Snacking White Chocolate Biscuit Bites the other day I decided to pay a visit to my local Marks and Spencer and see what products from this range I could find. I've said on here loads of times that I try to watch my weight so these products and their individual little portions really appealed to me.
I decided to go for these Chocolate Cornflake Clusters which if it's not obvious from the name, are crispy cornflakes smothered in chocolate...milk chocolate to be precise. I paid £1.86 for this 5 bag multipack.
Each individual 27g bag contains 125 calories and for Slimming World folks that is 6.5 Syns (please remember to double check Syn values on the Syn calculator or ask your consultant for confirmation).
I must admit that I was a little disappointed to only find 3 of the Cornflake Clusters in the bag, but hey this is why I used to have a weight problem; if I had a big bag of these then I would have eaten way more than 3!
The Clusters were really tasty and had a lovely crunch to them. You can't really go wrong with M&S chocolate, and there was plenty of it coating the cornflakes.
Verdict This is probably an expensive way of buying what is basically a bag of 15 little cornflake clusters, that said if like me you can't be trusted with a big bag then I think the 5 little small portions is a brilliant idea. Those 3 little Cornflake Clusters were a decent amount for a guilt free chocolatey snack and make it easier to manage what I am eating. I can see myself popping a bag of these in my handbag to stop me hitting the venders if I get a chocolate craving at work. I will definitely buy these again.
