Review: NYX Cosmetics Collection Noir Glossy Black Liner

Just really recently, i’ve made this purchase from Sephora. As you’ve already read from the title, the NYX Cosmetics Collection Noir Glossy Black Liner.

It’s currently my most trust worthy to-go-to eyeliner! For just below S$12, you get the quality of an over S$20 liner. Below are my thoughts after trying it out.

What I like about this product:

1. The texture on a single stroke is smooth
2. It’s crayon like so it’s twist and turn to release more of the liner, no sharpener needed as compared to pencil liners
3. Colour is pigmented without needing to go over drawn line a few times
4. Affordable, value for money
5. Slim and compact for easy handling since its pencil shaped, and doesn’t take up space for storage
6. REALLY EASY TO USE!
7. Doesn’t smudge even after 12 hours
8. water-proof

What i dislike about this product:

1. The cap is the same size as the pen, so you can’t cap it over while using, which makes losing the cap a possibility
2. i had a problem twisting the product out of the tube, but it could be that mine is faulty
3. being smudge-proof its quite hard to remove. make up remover is definitely needed if you don’t want panda-eyes
4. Not widely available in drug stores and such (at least, not where i live)

Will i buy it again?

Yes, that is a definitely YES. It’s really convenient to use, and by far from my experiences with eyeliners, one of the better crayon type of eyeliner in the market. I’ve used some brands of crayon eyeliners that are less pigmented and requires touch up after a few hours. So this eyeliner really does the trick especially for people like me who don’t like to re-apply make up. The easy to use and pigmented liner also makes for easy brush on strokes that doesn’t require one to go over the line a few times to perfect and even out the shade and shape. Although i admit that it’s hard to remove at the end of the day, the pros definitely out weigh the cons in this case.
