Now anybody who knows me will tell you that I absolutely LOVE my bed - pre-baby I would quite happily lie-in for the majority of the day!! I just love lazing around in bed and being snug!But unfortunately, I do suffer with a bad/stiff back in the mornings for the first half an hour or so after I get up - and the longer I lie-in for, the worse this problem gets!So when I was asked to try these pillows I was intrigued to see whether or not they would actually make any difference at all.
When they arrived and I put them on the bed, I was immediately struck by how stuffed and fluffy they are!
I usually sleep with two pillows but I found that two of these together were far too high and so I kept one myself and gave one to my partner.
The pack states that the pillows are ideal for back & side sleepers - I am a side sleeper and my partner is a back sleeper, so at least we got to see how the pillows worked for each of us!The Slumberdown Orthopaedic pillows have a supportive central core that helps to keep the neck and spine aligned.
For the first few nights of use, I found that actually - my back still felt rather stiff in the mornings, in fact I found it actually felt a little more painful than usual!
But whilst sleeping on them of a night I felt very comfortable - the pillows felt really luxurious, my head really sank into them and felt supported. They felt lovely!!I was a bit confused by this but decided to persevere for a few days before contacting Slumberdown to ask why this was happening - I'm so glad that I carried on with the trial and persevered because after 2 or 3 days of use, all of a sudden I found that the pain in my back completely stopped!I have not experienced a stiff or sore back in the morning since and I have been using the pillows for a couple of weeks now.
I'm very pleased with this and also with the fact that - after a few weeks of use - the pillows have retained their original "fluffiness" and still feel brand new!
I am really enjoying using these pillows and will certainly continue to do so - I recommend them highly for anybody with back or neck problems.
