REVIEW! Tesco Cheddar Cheese Souffles
I got these Cheddar Cheese Soufflés from Tesco for free as part of a BzzAgent campaign that I have been taking part in. You get 2 in a packet which is usually priced at £3.00 and each soufflé contains 265 calories. These are part of the Tesco Cheeses for Entertainment range which includes all sorts of "posh" cheese designed for serving at get-togethers such as dinner parties etc.
The soufflés come in little glass ramekins. You need to remove them from the fridge for 15 minutes before you cook them so I left them out whilst pre-heating the oven. All you need to do is remove the plastic lid and place the ramekins on a tray and cook for 25 to 30 mins at 170C.

When I removed the soufflés from the oven they had risen suitablely and were a lovely golden brown color. I served these as a starter and I have to say they did take ages to cool down so I should have waited before presenting them.

Once cooled enough to eat, the crust was easy to get into and the cheddar cheese smell was delicious. The texture was really fluffy as a soufflé should be and it was a bit like eating a really posh and light cheesy omelet. The cheddar taste was as strong as it smelt and I thought that these made a lovely little starter.
Verdict If I was having a dinner party I certainly wouldn't hesitate to serve Tesco Cheddar Cheese Soufflés again. I think that the price is very reasonable especially considering that the presentation is fantastic and of course you can always reuse the ramekins. Soufflés can be difficult to get right but you can't go wrong with these. REVIEW! Tesco Cheddar Cheese SoufflesREVIEW! Tesco Cheddar Cheese SoufflesREVIEW! Tesco Cheddar Cheese SoufflesREVIEW!
