…Roll Credits

…Roll CreditsUsually, at this time of year we’ve all had our fill of “best of” lists. This year, however, those lists are few and far between…and I think you know where this is going. So, for the final Flick Friday of 2016 we’re taking a look back at the best (or at least most entertaining) films of 2016.First up, 2016 saw no shortage of superhero films. While there were duds like “Suicide Squad” and “Batman vs. Superman,” there were also seriously awesome sequels like “Captain America: Civil War” and “Doctor Strange.”

In the award-winning category, yes there was the whole diversity issue with the Oscar nominees, not to mention a serious shortage of female leads in the nominated films. But, there were still some stellar movies including, “Brooklyn,” which did have a female lead and the best picture winner, “Spotlight,” which surprised a lot of people with its Oscar night victory.

This year also saw a new sassy Disney “not a” princess in “Moana,” and the adorable bunny cop movie, “Zootopia.”

Needless to say, the year has been a good year for fans of a good story on the big screen. Yes, there have been some lows, but for the most part we’ve been treated to some fantastic films. Here’s hoping that 2017 is just as entertaining.

…just for fun:
