But seeing as it’s also Global Running Day I thought I’d take a moment to tip my hat to the long-running shows out there. Their Tony Award days are behind them, but they’re still soaking in the love of the people. You know them, you love them, you keep seeing them…
First, the undisputed leader that’s still going strong (since 1988). The one, the only, “The Phantom of the Opera.”
In a distant second is that timeless (since 1996) revival tale of murderous ladies, “Chicago.”
And apologies to “The Lion King” but I’m skipping them for the fourth, longest running show (that’s still running)…because this “Wicked” woman has been making green look good since 2003…
