I am scarred
some roughed me up
some just came and hurt me
some chose to love me,
for a moment
and left some indelible scars,
when they left
I carry these scars everyday
they form my identity
They tell a story
of what I am
and what I have been through
they shape my psyche
Some are visible
some aren’t,
to a naked eye
But they are there
and only I see them
Nobody else can
Maybe a like mind would know
who has the same scars
Maybe a like mind would understand
why I did what I did
and why I got what I got
But I don’t regret them
they are learnings
Of a childish mind,
to understand,
the ways of the world,
the world we live in,
however apathetic it maybe..
