Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games DVD Review

I have always loved Scooby-Doo so I was delighted when Warner Brothers sent us the Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games DVD to review as it was the perfect opportunity to introduce Ben to Scooby and the gang.
Scooby-Doo! Spooky Games DVD Review
The first episode, Scooby-Doo Spooky Games is set in London during the World Invitation Games so perfect given the wonderful summer of sport we have had. The team have to solve the mystery of a thousand year old statue which comes to life. It is certainly spooky but not too scary for little ones. In fact Ben absolutely loved the "talking statue" and insisted on watching it again and again.

In addition to the new episode there is more fun action in the classic Hannah-Barbera Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics which is set across four episodes where three teams; the Scooby Doobies, Yogi Yahooeys and Really Rottens compete in a host of novel games including leprechaun hunting in Ireland, the brave bull contest where you have to pick the rose from the bull and roller skating to name but a few. Each of these games take place in different countries all around the world so kids get a geography lesson while watching too. The classic episodes certainly brought back some memories for me seeing all the much loved characters from my childhood again and I have to say it has been lovely to be able to share them with Ben and see how much he has enjoyed watching them too.
Warner Brothers also sent us a fantastic games pack to let us put on our own little sports day inspired by Scooby-Doo! and co. We have had so much fun playing the egg and spoon race not to mention all the games we have come up with using the mini bean bags including seeing who can throw them furthest or run fastest to fetch them, juggling and using them as markers for a mini obstacle course. The stickers we were sent have also been a massive hit so I would like to say a big thanks to Warner Brothers - you have provided hours of entertainment well beyond the TV screen.
