Happy Valentine’s Day! It may be a holiday invented by the greeting card, flower, and candy industries, but that won’t stop most of us from celebrating.
It’s easy to be cynical about this rose and candy heart-filled, confectionary holiday, but today I’m taking the high road and you’re welcome to come along for the ride.
Enjoying Valentine’s Day is all about altering your perspective. I know for some without a Valentine today can seem like the world is rubbing your face in your single status, but Valentine’s Day isn’t just about being in a relationship. Even if Cupid missed the mark this year, there’s still plenty to love about Valentine’s Day.
Okay, I’ll admit that some people might like Valentine’s Day a little too much. In the spirit of the holiday, why not embrace the love and join in on the fun.
After all, at its heart Valentine’s Day is about love, and what’s not to love about love? Whether it’s your significant other, friends, or family, we all have someone we could share some love (or an oversized box of chocolate) with.
