Shillingstone Wedding Photography : Previews

Posted on the 01 August 2017 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

It's time to take a look at some previews from a wedding I photographed, most delightfully, in the Dorset village where I live! So it's a great pleasure to present some lovely Shillingstone wedding photography to you - with bridal prep in the village, a church ceremony at the Holy Rood Church in Shillingstone, and followed by a beautiful reception at the village hall in the neighbouring village of Durweston in Dorset.

It's hard to describe how wonderful it is to photograph a wedding in your home village, with familiar faces and surroundings to document. I've been very lucky this year to photograph quite a few weddings in the local Dorset countryside, but this one is particularly special to me.

Like all of my favourite wedding days, I got to photograph the bridal preparations, which were held at the bride's home with her family around her (oh, and the furrier family members, too!). It's a privilege to be there to document those special moments that happen even before the wedding begins, such as the look on the bride's father's face when he sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.

I'll be blogging the separate parts of this wedding day later in the season, but for now, let's look at some of the highlights from this particular wedding, and some lovely Shillingstone wedding photography! I can't wait to share some more with you soon....
