Shimmery Goodbye

Posted on the 25 October 2014 by Fizz @ThePoetsAlley
Shimmery GoodbyeLooking at all the shimmer, I know too well,
That this won't last too long,
I have to say goodbye.
The days are too short,
And nights are just the opposite,
In all the chaos,
I can feel that I am lost.
No one to talk to,
Real people are too far,
Calls and texts don’t help much,
There's nothing that connects us.
In a world that's moving,
At the speed of the internet,
I come from a world,
That believes in the snail mail.
I have nothing much to say these days,
Who the hell is listening?
In a life that is confusing,
I need a home of my own.
Looking at the slowly fading shimmer,
Goodbye to you, my love.
