Happy Sunday Crusaders! This Sunday, we’re celebrating the shuffle. With today being both the Shamrock Shuffle and this the season finale of “The Walking Dead,” it just made sense.
Okay, it would make a lot more sense if you were the poster-making genius along the race route, who wrote these words of encouragement: “Don’t let the walkers catch you.” Whoever you are, major props. Well played.
I don’t know about you all, but we often consider the practical benefits of training for distance runs. You know, when the time comes for the zombie apocalypse, those at the back of the pack are going to be a bit nervous.
Although, those slow shufflers will still be in front of the people who didn’t even sign up for the race. Something to consider the next time your “runner” friend asks if you want to sign up to run a 5k with them.
After all, you don’t have to be the fastest in the pack to survive the zombie apocalypse, but you might want to be sure that you can walk at least a 15-minute mile for a few hours.
