Today, I thought I’d take a moment for unity and celebrate one of the most universally beloved culinary creations. Happy National Pizza Day!
We may squabble over toppings, and throw in your half-hearted (and unwanted) comments on carbs, but, gluten allergies aside, no one can say no to a slice of pizza.
Sure, cities might battle it out over which crust is supreme, or which order to pile the toppings on, or how deep that pie should be. But at the end of the day, when it comes to pizza, the only lines of division are being drawn are slices.
So today, if only for a moment, let’s put aside our differences and remember the things that unite us all—pizza.
