Some Successes, Some Failures.

Some Successes, Some Failures.
Hello wonderful followers. It's time for the weekly resolutsions link-up! The whole idea behind this link-up is that if we resolve to do small things in weekly increments and do them with each other, we'll be more successful (hopefully). So link-up and start resolving!
Week One Resolutions:
  1. Start working out at least three times a week.
  2. Write at least three blog posts for The Whole Shebang.
  3. Cut down soda consumption to no more than one can a day.
  4. Spend at least 30 minutes of personal time in Scripture and prayer each day.
Well, it was a mildly successful week as far as the resolutions went. I did work out three times last week! Huzzah! I even went in for a fitness assessment at my gym at work and have my first session with a personal trainer today. Eek! He's probably going to kick my butt and I'm gonna be sore as all get out, but I know it'll be worth it in 9 months when I look awesome in my bridesmaid dress. :)
Resolution two was 1/3 successful. I wrote one blog post, but only one. It was kind of a crazy week though and filled with some unexpected things. But this week is leading up to the Golden Globes (which air this coming Sunday), so hopefully that will give me lots of inspiration to write A&E related things this week.
As for soda, it was hit or miss. I was mostly good about only having one can of soda a day until yesterday. I had lunch with a friend and had two refills and a second soda later in the day. *face palm* I was so close! But I will triumph this week! I will break my soda addiction.
As for my final resolution, I hate to say that this is one that I epically failed at this week. While I did spend a fair amount of time contemplating theological topics as I wrote each day for my newest blog, A Year With C.S. Lewis, I failed quite miserably at spending at least 30 minutes of personal time in Scripture and prayer each day. This is something I definitely need to change. Especially considering I wrote an entire post regarding how it's bad to get in the habit of just reading theological books in exchange for time in the Word and prayer. Epic fail, Sarah.
That being said...many of my resolutions this week are similar to last week's, simply because I think it's better to master one thing before moving onto something else. So, without further ado...
Week Two Resolutions:
  1. Spend at least 30 minutes of personal time in Scripture and prayer each day.
  2. Work out four times this week.
  3. Write three blog posts for The Whole Shebang.
  4. Cut down overall sugar consumption to only three times a week.
  5. Sign up for web design classes.
Alrighty...get linking!
