Posted on the 13 October 2017 by Jaideep Khanduja @PebbleInWaters

Sorry Australia was a good gesture by Guwahati cricket fans. The fans were apologizing Australian Cricket team after a rock-throwing incident at the team bus. While the local authorities and police were trying to find out the loopholes that could lead to such incident. The team was returning back to the hotel after finishing the second T20I in their favor. An average batting by Indian cricket team first and a perfect tight bowling by the opponent bowlers were good enough to draw result in Australia’s favor. Behrendorff was the most successful Australian opening bowler taking 4 wickets by giving only 21 runs. Another successful bowler from their side was Leg Spinner Adam Zampa. He has taken 2 important middle-order wickets of Jadhav and Dhoni by giving only 21 runs.

In fact, among Indian batting stalwarts only Jadhav, Dhoni, Pandya, and Yadav could score in double figures of which Pandya was the top scorer making 25 runs. Looking at the overall performance of Indian team so far there was, in fact, no need of this kind of rock throwing incident on the Australian team bus. Neither does it make any sense nor is it logical. We should be mature enough to see sports in a sporting manner. It is a single person’s task that spoils the name of all sports lovers and the whole country. Maybe some political hand in this too. Usually, such kind of nonsense things happens with a support or backing. The person in the front is generally different from the person or group backing it.

Sorry Australia Wins Hearts Of Australian Cricket Team

But how difficult is it for administrative agencies and police to immediately act and catch hold of the culprit? Maybe only if they desire so. But on the other hand, the fans in Guwahati have shown a timely great gesture to bring back smile on the faces of Australian players and all cricket fans across the country. I think it is always good to go for Sorry Australia gesture whenever someone with wrong intentions hurts the feelings of players and fans of and in any country. Let Sorry Australia become an international phenomenon that goes in line with Munna Bhai’s Get Well Soon gesture. Probably it will help in bringing down such kind of shameful acts by a handful of dirty minds.
