The July 31 release date of my debut cookbook Cooking with Fibromyalgia: A Young Man’s Guide to Simple and Delicious Vegetarian Gluten & Dairy Free Meals is quickly approaching. With that I wanted to clear up any misconceptions or confusion regarding the nature of the book.

In general the food we put into our bodies impacts our health in various ways. ‪#‎cookingwithfibro‬ is not an eat these foods and you are cured type of a book, but a book that gives simple, delicious and healthy recipes that are written and geared towards people like myself who deal with chronic pain, fibromyalgia and other illnesses using minimal and whole ingredients.

These recipes are simple, easy to follow and prepare but most importantly they are healthy.

Throughout the book I outline strategies that I have learned and use in my daily life as a cook living with chronic illness to maximize my time, energy and resources while in the kitchen. My goal and purpose of writing this book was primarily to pass these tips off to others as well as give an outline for creating quick healthy and delicious meals even though you may live with chronic pain.

My recipes are gluten and dairy free because this is the diet I have adopted since I also deal with irritable bowel syndrome and celiac disease.

I in no way imply or allude that eating a certain type of food or excluding any food will be a cure to any illness.

I hope that many people are able to gleam something useful from this book as it has been a labor of love + joy.

I can’t wait until it is released

Be Happy and Healthy,

Calvin
