Last weekend saw a return to one of my favourite wedding venues for another fabulous celebrations - yes, a wonderful St Audries Park wedding day in beautiful West Somerset!
One of my favourite things about St Audries Park is the flexibility of the venue to accommodate so many different types of weddings. Not only do they have the magnificent Orangery for stunning civil ceremony weddings, but also, for church weddings, there's St Etheldreda's Church which sits just at the top of the driveway on the St Audries estate - an easy stroll from the main house for wedding guests. And THIS particular St Audries wedding day was truly special - for we had ceremonies in both beautiful places - the civil ceremony in the Orangery, followed by a church blessing!
I've always seemed to be very lucky with the weather every time I've photographed a wedding at St Audries Park, and this one was no exception. By all accounts, just a few miles away was battered by heavy rain and hailstones, whilst we saw nothing but sunshine! It was wonderful for the guests and the wedding couple to be able to enjoy the truly beautiful surroundings of the St Audries Estate and not be forced to stay inside... although of course, the building itself is so elegant inside that it's no hardship to be inside take in the surroundings!
This wedding had plenty of everything that makes a wedding day wonderful. Emotion, laughter, wonderful entertainment, families coming together... and two people who were obviously truly meant to be together.
