Starting Over

Posted on the 23 February 2012 by Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

This is much later than I usually post…but it’s been a busy day.  The first day of my student-teaching/observing went really well today though and I’m very excited about the high school I’ve been placed at.  However, this has taken a large chunk out of my free time and there seems to be a ridiculous amount of work to get done.  Although there were also a lot of extra things today so it won’t be this bad later on in the year.

I did have a chance to start my cross stitch though!   This is the new one I’m working on.  I’m sorry about the flash right in the middle.  I forgot I had it turned on.  I really like this pattern, it looks very cute.  Although I am a little worried because the pattern is meant to be so dark but the aida it’s supposed to be backed on is a light tan.  I’ll have to be very careful not to pull the threads too tightly and make sure the background gets covered.

Here’s what I have done so far.  You can’t even tell it’s a picture.  I always hate starting new projects because it looks like I’ll never get anywhere with it.

Here’s all the depressing blank space to be filled in.  Hopefully it’ll start to look a little more like a picture soon.

I hope you all have a great week.  It’s half way over now!  We can make it to the weekend!  Do something crafty, hope things are going well.
