Super Summer Challenge

super summer challenge

Still on my mind is getting to the point where I feel I'm living a healthy and balanced life. I want to eat better. I want to be more active. I want to practice emotional and mental wellness. So when I saw The Super Summer Challenge over at Back to Her Roots, I knew it was just the ticket.
Be healthy and happy this summer. That's the goal. The plan is to give yourself points for everything that you do to attain that goal. And the beauty is that you set the parameters based on what you need in your life. For instance, allowing myself 30 minutes a day to relax with a book could earn me 10 points. It's up to you. Plus, there's a whole community of other awesome people who are participating and supporting you along the way. You can read more about Cassie's challenge here.
One thing I love about this challenge is that Cassie encourages participants to keep an "attitude of curiosity" throughout the summer and to approach each challenge with the thought, "what if?" In other words, instead of making yourself feel guilty thinking "I need to do this and I should do that," try thinking "I wonder if I'd feel happier if I did this." This is perfect for me, because I am really good at making myself feel bad for not doing everything I think I should be doing. She also advises that you be prepared to admit that some things may be good for other people but they just don't work for you.....and that's okay.
The challenge kicks off June 1st and I'll be sharing my progress along the way. Won't you join me?
