Superbowl Sunday is HERE!

…and my day has only just begun. I know most pre-game rituals involve gallons of beer and pounds of chicken wings. Not this time, been there done that. This year my SBS starts off with labor!

It snowed last night, it’s 8:36 now and at 9:20 I’m going outside to shovel and clean off the cars. I also have to shovel out the bed of my F-150 for mission #2 of the morning.

10am, meeting my father-in-law. His apartment was ruined by Sandy and he has been looking for a new place ever since. Some of his stuff was salvaged and kept in the old apartment after it was washed out by ServePro or something similar. It’s a storage locker basically. To make things worse, the management does not have the $ to rebuild lower level apartments like his so he was basically told “tough shit” and had to deal with it. His dog Bo a Bichon / King Charles Cav mix called a Cavachon has been living with us the past 10 days since the dog got booted from his current residency!

Super Bowl 2013So 10am I will pull up in my truck with a clean bed ready to load up everything that’s boxed, the few pieces of furniture than survived, and move him a couple towns over to a house he’s renting now from a local contractor. Didn’t get flooded just needed new paint/carpet like commonly done when people rent for many years and leave. First time since the storm he can have a place just HIS and that’s really cool.

Let’s HOPE I’m done by noon. I work hard and fast, always trying to work like 3-4 people to get a job done fast. Get home noonish, have some lunch, and then go take a shower to clean up.

Off to the grocery store after that!! Need food for the week, supplies, whatever. This is where beer and chicken wings will have to be procured this SBS. Get a few other chores knocked out and eventually home in time for some dinner and SuperBowl.

The Big Question is… Who do you have to win this year? Ravens or 49ers? I’ve got the Ravens to crush the 49ers and either Ray Lewis or Ed Reed making a highlight reel of ‘SuperBowls worth hits” at least 2-3 times.
