Shiver me timbers, and all that jazz, let’s talk about the only pirate news worth talking about: the latest casting for NBC’s Peter Pan Live…arrr…
Avast, there be some questionable choices as Christian Borle has been cast as Mr. Darling and Smee.
All I have to say that is, “Arrrrr, me hearties! Where be the symbolism?!?”
As any thespian pirate worth his (or her) salt knows, the roles of Mr. Darling and Captain Hook are traditionally played by the same actor.
Here there be trouble theater dorks. I am glad that Christian Borle is in another NBC Live production, and he’ll be a wonderful Smee and Mr. Darling but at what cost?
Aye, it’s not quite yet the storm at sea that certain casting decisions last year were, but need I remind ye, they still have yet to cast Wendy…
