Autumn is here and the leaves are changing before my very eyeballs! Here’s all the things that captured my attention in beautiful September:

In My Ears

I can’t stop listening to “Roar“ by Katy Perry. I’m addicted. I need professional help. I’m not a fan of Katy Perry’s faux feminism and I kinda don’t like her, so you can imagine how difficult this is for me to admit. It’s just so damn cathy and the video is adorable. ADORABLE.

“Royals” by Lorde… like everyone else

I’m anticipating the new Arcade Fire album because “Reflektor” is awesome, like EVERYTHING ELSE they do.

In My Eyes

Watched:

All of the new fall tv shows. Most of them are BAD but Michael J. Fox is adorable and he makes everything ok.

“Stepmom” and “Something to Talk About” because I was on a weird 90′s-Julia-Roberts-movies-set-in-autumn kick.

Also, “Something to Talk About” was written by Callie Khouri who created “Nashville” which I’m currently ashamed to be obsessed with. She also wrote “Thelma and Louise.”

Three words: Breaking. Bad. Finale. GAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! (ok, so 4 words)

Parks and Rec. I’d never watched an episode but I’m now smitten.

The Emmy’s were terrible and “Top of the Lake” didn’t win anything which is a TRAVESTY. But you should definitely watch it if you haven’t already.

Read:

“Night Film” by Marisha Pessl is SO FUN! If you’re looking for a spooky book to read in October this is IT. Especially if you’re into horror movies, pop culture, NYC and occult stuff.

“Jane Eyre.” I re-read it once every couple of years. It’s the first feminist novel. It’s gothic and scary. It’s also sexy. Some girls like Jane Austen, but I’ve always been a Brontë devotee.

The new Salinger biography is as bad as everyone says it is. I promise. Don’t waste your time.

If you’re looking for a Halloween tv schedule (horror movies, specials, tv episodes, etc.) this post is very comprehensive

Speaking of the Brontës, here’s a “Wuthering Heights” inspired recipe

I love “Into the Wild” so this follow-up article is much appreciated.

In My Heart (Objects of Lust and Love)

My Ralph Fiennes obsession is still going strong. *wistful sigh*

I’m so freaking excited for October! SOOOO EXCITED! I’m going to be doing A LOT of Halloween themed posts.

In My Brain (stuff I created, due to wildly misfiring synapses because COFFEE.)

I made a Halloween themed tarot spread and PDF!

I wrote two articles for websites I love. I’ll let you know if and when they’re published. One’s about Anne Boleyn and one’s about my favorite Halloween tv episodes.
