Happy National Superhero Day!
Today’s about celebrating your inner (or outer) nerd, there’s plenty to celebrate.
We live in a golden era of superhero entertainment. From the big screen, to the little screen, and the comics that started it all, there’s almost more superhero goodness than we can handle…just kidding. Like that could ever happen.
This year, has seen (and will see) many of our old favorites, but it has also seen the rise of the female heroes. And not just as backup to the leading men (although I do think Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was a bright spot in that film).
No, this year even more female warriors stepped out of the shadows and claimed their spots as powerful leading ladies. To celebrate their day, here are my favorites…
Jessica Jones
Okay, technically she’s an antihero, but no one ever said they couldn’t be super too.
Supergirl
The best part about this Supergirl is how normal she is, aside from the whole flying/laser eyes/super speed thing.
Agent Carter
“Agent Carter” was back for a second season this year, which is beyond encouraging…and season 2 is even better than the first.
