Tea And Lingerie – The Little Things

Posted on the 19 January 2019 by Rachael Dunne @WhatRachDidNext

It’s that time of year again. Just after Christmas, the start of the new year. Everyone’s broke and we’re all making plans whilst doing our best impression of hibernating, am I right? I don’t know about you but my main goals for this year all revolve around getting out and about, seeing and doing more. Whilst I enjoy getting out there and doing stuff, the thought of missing my little home comforts can sometimes prevent me from leaving the house. So how do I fix that? With two things… tea and lingerie!

Tea And Lingerie – The Little Things

Me in my lingerie cuddling my cat Tybalt. One of the creature comforts that makes it so hard for me to leave my house

Eh… Tea And Lingerie?

Yup! It’s amazing how something as simple as a pretty pair of pants, a girly bra and a belly full of something deliciously warming can be such a great motivator but it’s true. Not convinced? Let me elaborate – take walking for example. I’m a sucker for a breathtaking view. On a Sunday morning, there’s no better way to blow the cobwebs away than hiking up a steep hill, filling the lungs with some deliciously clean air and marvelling at natures own art gallery. However, when it’s cold, damp and dreary, the thought of swapping my soft comfy slippers for muddy walking boots and venturing out into the great outdoors just fills me with dread! Bring on the tea and lingerie.

This lovely lingerie set from Hunkemöller makes me feel wonderfully girlie!

How To Con Your Subconscious

So how does this work then? Well, it’s quite simple really, it’s a complete con! Waking up with a good cup of tea, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and ready for anything. Then showering with some lovely smellies and putting on some sexy undies makes me feel feminine and girly, like I’m spoiling myself a little bit. Whilst I’m revelling in the enjoyment of feeling like a pampered princess, I sneak on my walking gear, tiptoe my way out to the car and ha ha! That’s it! I’m on my journey out into the wild unknown before my brain has had a chance to come up with a gazillion arguments against the idea.

Probably way more of Rach’s ass than the world ever needed to see but here’s her posh new pants from Hunkemöller!

What Am I Wearing?

So the lingerie set I’m wearing was kindly gifted to me by Hunkemöller. I don’t think they still have this particular set on their site any longer but the design is quite typical of the kind of lingerie they sell. It’s pretty, incredibly feminine and the materials are nice but the fit is a little on the small size. The cups on the bra fit perfectly but the band size is a little tight as are the briefs. I’d go up a size on both if you order anything from them.

Tea And Lingerie – The Little Things

A warming cup of spicy gingerbread tea from Shibui

What Am I Drinking?

Shibui tea is a new discovery for me but one I’m so glad I found! So far I’ve tried the Gingerbread, Earl Grey and Chocolate and Ginger. They are all absolutely delicious. At £4.95 for 15 pyramids it’s not really tea for everyday drinking (for me anyway!) but the gingerbread is certainly one I’d like to keep in for weekends and definitely nice enough to present as a gift. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m normally a complete coffee junkie but Shibui comes in such delicious varieties, they’re enough to tempt me away from my Nespresso machine.

What Gets You Going?

So that’s it, tea and lingerie is what gets me going! How do you get yourself motivated to leave the house when it’s so cold and murky outside? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Please share them with me in the comments below.
