That Lazy Ten-Songs-On-Your-Ipod Thing

Posted on the 06 November 2012 by Jillofalltrades @JillDeTrabajos
I'm doing it.  The ten songs on your ipod thing.
Meh.  Lazy post.
On shuffle, this is what comes up:
1. Last Rose of Summer--Celtic Woman
I make no apologies.  Gorgeous music.
2. Natural Ghost--Ryan Adams and the Cardinals
I went out with this guy once who introduced me to a CRAP TON of good, new music--including Metric, Broken Social Scene, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Headlights, Stars, The Shins--and also gave me a bunch of crap I've barely even listened to yet.  This is one of those songs.  I think I like it, but I don't really know it, so I always find myself skipping it.
3. Mooning--Grease Soundtrack
Anyone who doesn't like the music from Grease is un-American, and probably doesn't have a soul.  Also this song is secretly about butts, so what's not to love?
4. Sometimes--Bowling For Soup
   Shut up, it's catchy.
5. Miracle Sun--Anthony Green
   See #2.
6. Welcome to the Jungle--Guns N' Roses
I will hear no negativity against this song.  It is awesome.  That is all.
7. Lady Dada's Nightmare--MGMT
I'm cool and like alternative things.
8. Now I Hear--The Goo Goo Dolls
One of my favorite bands of all time.  Not to be confused with the Foo Fighters or the Go-Go's (I have no idea why people do this).  They sang Iris.  And Name.  And Sympathy.  And Slide.  And Dizzy.  And Here is Gone.  And Broadway.  And Big Machine.  And Black Balloon.  For god's sake, people, this band has been vomiting hit after hit since the late 90s, and they've been around since the mid 80s.  Recognize them already!
9. Bowie--Flight of the Conchords
What kind of comedian would I be if I didn't listen to some humorous music?
10. Jumpin' Jumpin'--Destiny's Child
This song was huge when I was a kid, and I don't give a shit if I sound like a fool talking about "ballers" and encouraging my ladies to get their hair done and their nails done too before going to the club.  This song is awesome.  Get over it.
