Freedom - The Bold Writers

Welcome to the Bold Writer from A to Z. These blog posts are to inspire you as a blogger, a writer, a creative person to be more brave with your writing. With that in mind, there are no absolute rules - instead, scoop up what works for you in the prompts and allow the images and words to be sparks for your creative process both now and in the future.

Now let's go!

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”

Charlotte Bronte

Questions

What metaphors can you use the way Charlotte Bronte uses bird and a net to describe your freedom/lack of freedom?

In what ways have you, in the past, allowed nets to ensnare your writing?

What will you do to be sure your writing will not be caught in a net ever again?

What is your definition of freedom? Don’t just throw out the first thought that comes into your head, allow yourself the space to allow many aspects of freedom to show up for you. Using the lists might help you take your definition deeper.

Make a list of 2 to 10 times you have felt freedom in your body.

Traditional Writing Prompts:

When I let myself express my independence in my writing, I…..
