The DJ train wreck continues – Personal Rant II

I can’t believe how much the two Australian DJ’s continue to milk their 15 minutes of fame.  The DJ train wreck continues.  Instead of owning up to what they have done they continue to go on shows, such as,  A Current Affair to say how sorry they are, but, neither could show any real sadness or tears.  I know kids that can fake crocodile tears better than this pair.  The radio station 2Day FM insists that it supposedly  attempted to call the hospital to let them know they would be airing the now viral recording.  However, they were unable to reach anyone by their own admission but still took it upon themselves to air it any ways.  Did it ever occur to anyone that at the very least two nurses would lose their jobs let alone their own life???  It’s the nurses job to care for the Royals and this pair has made a complete mockery of it.  Again, who the heck pranks a sick pregnant woman?  Let a lone one carrying a future King/Queen.  This type of unacceptable behavior cannot and should not be tolerated.

The radio station is so concerned about the DJ’s mental health and safety.  This is yet another pathetic attempt to make us feel sorry for them and lessen their culpability in this tragedy.  Sadly, it was their actions that created this tragic event.  I am so sick of people saying there must have been something wrong with the nurse or their was more going on.  The nurse Jacintha Saldanha was humiliated in a very public way while performing her every day duties which she took very seriously.  By every account she was well liked, caring and a very happy person. It’s ridiculous that people are defending the DJ’s actions and blaming the victim.  I know there is a lot of talk about death threats and suicide but I for one do not wish this upon them.  That would be way to easy and it is not our job to play God. Karma will take care of them.

At the end of the day did the DJ’s make bad choices?  Absolutely!  They exercised poor judgment as did the radio station management with tragic results.

Our prayers and heart go out to the family of Jacintha Saldanha.  We respect and honor their need for privacy during this difficult time.

Lucky

P.S You don’t have to agree with my rant it is after all my opinion.  We should all be concerned when are basic needs for dignity, privacy and respect are violated.  How would you feel if it had been you?
