The One Where I Use A Staple Remover to Imitate Lord Voldemort

Our story starts on a hot summers day in the interior of a bank. Business is slow, and two of my co-workers and I are scrounging for entertainment. Craig picks up a staple remover and begins click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, clicking spastically.

“Okay, I get!” I say. “You find the clicking amusing. You can stop now.”

I go to swerve back around to the drive-thru window when Kristen click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, clicks.

“Oy.” As I glance out the glass window, I spot my staple remover. I can’t help myself. Click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click. “You know, it kind of looks like a bird beak.”

“No,” Craig says. “It looks like a snake.”

“Yeah, a snake.”

I look up. Kristen has positioned two paper clips on her staple remover, so that they look like eyes. “I’ve dressed mine up.”

“Ooooh! I’m going to dress mine up like Voldemort!”

Kristen snorts as I raise the staple remover to my mouth. “Hhhhhaaarrryy Potter,” I say in my best Voldemort hiss. “The boy whhhooo lived…come to diiieeeee.” Wait for it.

“AVADA KEDAVRA!”

“Ah!”

Okay, so no one screamed, but Kristen nearly fell out her seat.

Okay, not really, but it was funny.

The End.
