The Pain of Being Lonely

Posted on the 26 December 2017 by Heartbaredtoyou121 @naughtytushki

It’s a long and tiring road

While on your way back

To where you belong

A day’s hardships

Seem to melt away

With a dark gloomy sky

Coaxing out the emotions

Pent up inside of you

Waiting to be excavated

But there isn’t any

Just a dull bucket full of disappointment

And a bit of regret

Not at things that were

Or the people who made your life

What it used to be

You regret the times

That makes these people fade away

And leaves behind

A cloud of self pity, loathing

And then questions,

Unanswered, as always

And the loneliness,

That comes scratching

In the confines of the darkness

You are shackled in

Uneasy to break away from

But then, you could see

The light at the end of the tunnel

However far, it maybe

You will get through this,

You exclaim!

Alas! there was a little help

It just wasn’t much

Just someone to push you through

Or end this melancholia

And sit through

And fill the voids

Left with the pieces that crumbled away

And you stood there

Lonely and dumbstruck

Never to be whole again..
