The Sibling Project - The Boys in February | 2017

Posted on the 15 February 2017 by Alex_bumptobaby @bumptobaby_blog
Oh these boys of mine! I love them so so much, I can't help but look at them and ask, "How can you be mine?!". Don't get me wrong - they drive me totally crazy a lot of the time, but I can't help but feel like the luckiest Mum alive. I mean really... how can they be mine?
I like these pictures of them a lot - in terms of quality, not so much, but to me when I'm taking photographs of my boys together for posts I want to look back on, I want it to be in the moment. I don't care if it's dark and the photograph's grainy, I don't care what the background looks like. All I want to see is them, their true selves in a moment of laughter or happiness, interacting with each other and bringing the photograph to life through their cheeky but totally adorable personalities. It's these photos, these captures in time, that mean the most.

In these first pictures they were being their usual cheeky selves by going the other side of the gate and locking themselves in. I was pretending to leave them to it and then I'd pop out from behind the door and surprise them - they loved it!

I took these next ones the next day - we were hanging out in the office with Daddy distracting him from working (whoops!) and the boys thought it was funny to bundle on to the second chair and have me spin them around together. I love these photos because they not only capture a moment of happiness and laughter, but because they capture something that we've seen a lot of these past few weeks - Ethan reaching out to Logan and hugging him. Which honestly, as a Mum of two, just pulls at all of the heart strings and makes me beam! (Despite Logan not really being so sure as to what his brother is doing to him!). ;)

Each month I've seen them become closer and of course cheekier the closer they get. But this month has really given me a glimpse of how close these two boys of mine are going to be as they continuing growing up together. To sum them up, they really love nothing more than to laugh, play, run, bundle, scream (as load as they can, just for fun), eat and then repeat.  And as their Mummy, I love nothing more than to see them happy. :)
