This SUMMA Will Be...

Absolutely incredible. I am so ready for summer! When I think of summer I think of boating, laying out in the sun, planning camping trips for the weekend, eating smores, late night walks and pure fun. It’s so funny that when winter comes, I try so hard to not think of digging my car out of the snow, sliding through stop lights on ice, and having to wear 2000 layers, but truly that is all winter really brings.
Jared and I decided that we were going to make this summer absolutely awesome and amazing! I don’t know if you guys read Side by Side Survival Guide, if not you totally should. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I did a guest post for her with the contents of my summer bucket list. One day Jared and I made a list, by emailing each other things that we were excited to do this summer. This turned into our summer bucket list. There are only 16 items on our list, but some of them are a little out of control, so hopefully we can complete them all. Or even 15/16. I wanted to make sure that I had this list on my blog not only on Steph's, so that as the summer approaches we could cross things off, and not lose the list, we lose everything.. mostly by WE, I mean ME.
  1. Rent a houseboat and go to Lake Powell. If you have never been to Lake Powell, it is gorgeous. I read online that it’s basically the Grand Canyon filled with water. Every memory I have of this place is awesome. The beautiful red rock, the ginormous sand hill, the warm water, the deeeeep water, it’s all amazing.

  2. Go hiking/ backpacking. Jared and I have been on hikes, like 2 hour long hikes, but we want to do like a legit back packing trip. Pack out sleeping bags and spend a few days somewhere. Jared sister and brother do this every summer, and so I plan to just take over and invite myself on one of their trips.
  3. Go camping up the canyon with friends. Kind of like number 2, except when I think of this trip, I think of no hiking being involved. Just to pull up to an awesome spot, set up and become hippies for a few days!

  4. Go to at least TWO summer concerts. In Utah they have free concerts downtown every Thursday of the summer. We never go because parking sucks, and there are always a million people there. I know we sound like we are 80.
  5. Go Urban Spalunking. Which means take flash lights, go through old buildings or ones that they are building and explore. This is actually really fun, and an easy way to convince yourselves to get out of the house. It’s also a fun way to think about how you want your dream house to be laid out.
  6. Mini Golfing.
  7. Get a tattoo. I have been wanting to expand my tattoo on my hip, and Jared has been wanting to get a side piece for a while. Jared actually kind of has his thought out, I on the other hand can’t make a decision right now. I have so many ideas floating around, but can’t figure out how to put them together. All you tattooed people.. How do you make a piece out of several different items? My mind isn’t being creative.
  8. Go to a water park.
  9. Go bungee jumping or sky diving. I think it will end up being sky diving. There are lots of places to go sky diving a few hours of us, so that seems more practical.
  10. Go to the state fair and go on all the rides!
  11. Watch the sunrise FROM a rooftop. I don’t think we have ever been on our own roof, what a shame.
  12. Take a weekend Road Trip
  13. Watch a drive-in movie. When was the last time you did this? It is so much fun! The sound is terrible, the picture is awful, you’ve most likely seen the movies already, but it really is so much fun. We did this last year, and it was a great time!
  14. Go to the SLC Art Festival.
  15. Look for really cheap flights and take a random trip to a random city for the weekend. (Kind of like on Yes, Man)
  16. River Rafting in Wyoming. This is my brother and I getting ready to go river rafting 2 years ago.

What do you guys think? Did we miss anything?
