Thoughts on the SnuzPod

SnuzPod, SnuzPod reviewlittle while before little Logan was born, we were asked if we'd like to become the owners of a brand new SnuzPod to 1. use with Logan and 2. test, review and feedback our thoughts on it. If you're not already familiar with The Little Green Sheeps' SnuzPod - it is a multi award-winning 3 in 1 bedside crib that allows you to sleep safely next to your baby, with the reassurance and comfort that they are snoozing next to you in their own safe sleeping area. It can also be used as a stand alone crib (which is exactly what we use ours for) or you can detach the top part from the stand and then use it as a bassinet for baby around the house. So, as it says it is - it's a 3-in-1 multi-baby functional product, which has the ability to serve more than one purpose, unlike most traditional style cribs.
SnuzPod, SnuzPod review

I think the concept of having that safe area for baby to sleep in is really good for those Mums and Dads who want to feel closer to their baby whilst sleeping and for those who have even consider co-sleeping - which we're all advised by experts, midwives, health visitors and everyone else not to do. Co-sleeping isn't for us and we're perfectly happy with having Logan in a standalone crib, next to our bed. But if we had been talking about co-sleeping or wanting to have Logan feel somewhat closer to us, the SnuzPod would have given us that. One thing to note and it is only something I discovered recently after owning the SnuzPod myself, is that the SnuzPod doesn't fit all bed frames. The insert which is inside the fabric at the bottom of the mesh wall, is designed to bridge a gap of up to 4cm - ours is 7cm, so we can't safely connect ours to our bed, which is why I won't be able to show you any pictures of it connected.  So if you're looking at buying this and you do want to connect yours to your bed then this is something to be very aware of.

SnuzPod, SnuzPod reviewAs a standalone crib, we really like it. Logan always looks very comfortable in his little SnuzPod and we really like how it looks visually. It suits our modern, neutral style decor and we're impressed by the quality and build. One of my favorite little parts to it is the shelf underneath, it's so handy! I store some of Logans extra sheets, blankets, grow bags, nappies, wipes etc on it usually and for that it's brilliant - it saves me trying to find some place else in our bedroom to fit all of his little bits and bobs. SnuzPod, SnuzPod reviewOverall, we really like the SnuzPod and despite the fact that we can't use it to connect to the bed ourselves because of our bed frame size, I can see that it would be great for those that could. It's currently priced at £169 and is available in a choice of four different colours. If you'd like to, you can have a bit more of a read up on it over at thelittlegreensheep.co.uk. *Item sent for review. All opinions are, as always - absolutely my own!
