There are going to be many things that happen within our lifetimes that we do not understand. Why are there people starving in other countries? Why do we fall in love? Why are there shootings? Why do some people not get along as well as others? Why are we born into the families that we are and what decides whether we come out with blue eyes or brown eyes? What about that teeny tiny percentage in our family tree that had red hair or for that matter long legs? Like I said, there are many things that we do not understand.
We ask God so many questions throughout the day or beg for some kind of service. "Please let me pass this test." or "Why can't our football team just win 1 game?" Sometimes life sends you into a tailspin of events and you can do absolutely nothing to stop them. However, God does provide strength for the ones who ask for it. I love the phrase, "If God brings you to it then he will bring you through it." It is absolutely true. No matter if they are good events or bad events, God is always there. He is only a prayer away. And just because you don't pass that test or win that game doesn't mean God isn't there for you.
A friend of mine just got engaged. She is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. We graduated high school together in 2008 and go to college together now. I ran into her back home and she said how wonderful it was to be engaged to the person she knew she was meant to be with but so scary it was too thinking that just a few years ago everything in our lives was completely different. After talking to her I realized that the past 4 years have flown by and we are so very lucky to have the lives that we do right at this moment. I know her and the new fiance are going to do great things in life as am I with Kyle by my side too of course.
The point behind this post? I know God has a plan for each and every one of us. He made me very unique and special, just like everyone else in the world. I am my own person, have my own likes and dislikes, and my very own personality that shines like all the glitter in the world. God is doing wonderful things with my life and I cannot wait to see each day come and go just so I can see my future grow and unravel into something more and more remarkable.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. So true these words are and they mean so much more when you actually believe them and act upon them. Trust God. He knows what he is doing. Worry is what happens when we try to play God. Peace is what happens when we simply trust God. So stop worrying, make amends with those whose bridges might have been burned, take baby steps, do your very best in all that you take on, and simply breathe because He is with you. Trust.
