…Tune Up

Posted on the 06 November 2014 by Zer @the2women

Scrambled Television ScreenTelevision nerds received some exciting news today.  If you’re a fan of superheroes, comic books, musicals, strong female leads, or all of the above, then you’ll want to keep reading.

First, ABC finally announced when “Agent Carter” will premiere, and it’s not as far away as you might have thought.  The “Agents of SHIELD” prequel / “Captain America” spinoff will take SHIELD’s time slot on Tuesdays starting on January 6th.

Of course, if you simply cannot imagine waiting that long, Marvel has kindly released this lovely clip to help tide you over:

And don’t worry SHIELD fans, Director Coulson and gang will be back in March.

The second bit of good news, ABC’s quirky-looking, medieval musical “Galavant” will be premiering on Sunday, January 4th in “Once Upon A Time” time slot.  If you haven’t heard of “Galavant,” well then you probably haven’t been watching “Once.”  ABC has been sneaking in the same 15 second ad at the beginning of commercial breaks this entire season.  I’m 50 percent sure they’re trying to brainwash its audience into tuning in the January 4th…you won’t even know why you’re doing it.

What’s most exciting about this announcement, is that it appears that ABC actually wants to give this show a chance of succeeding.  They have it leading off their Sunday night primetime lineup, and have targeted the “Once” fans who are the most likely to accept a show of the genre.

Being a fan of shows that look so bizarre, that they have to be good, I’m intrigued to see if the Sunday night crowd gives this potential gem a chance.  Seriously, it appears to be so goofy and odd that it has to be amazing. If you don’t believe me, then check out this clip for yourself…fair warning, there’s singing…and dancing:
