Just popping by to give a random rant on todays events.
It all started when I decided that today was the day that I felt fit enough to wonder out and see what I can find for my daughters dance competition outfit ready for Saturday. My little princess is taking part in her first ever Street Dance competition with is being held via her dance school. All the excitement is getting to us all (combined with a few nerves).
So off out into the local town we go, starting with having the climb in a roasting hot car, wondering around all the shops looking for something as simple as 2 bright pink t-shirts for age 9 – 10, something that has little or no logo and can be tied at the bottom to create the look. 7 shops later and still no luck, these are the type of tops that, 2 weeks ago were everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE….. Nothing came even close, the most we could find were tiny tops for babies, in a lovely baby pink. Is it only me that this will happen to??
After a quick call to the dance teacher, she was able to advise me where I may be able to find a suitable top – all shops where we had already ventured too. One of which I had literally left 30 seconds prior to the call. Typical.
Why does this always happen?? You may wonder around numerous shops for months, not liking anything you see or nothing being suitable for the occasion you are shopping for. But as soon as you require a specific item, no matter where you shop – nothing !!!!
Is this the curse of changing fashion now ????
I will leave you to think about this.
