Vintage Lolita
This morning I woke up early to join the masses at a huge charity jumble-sale in the south of Paris. Obviously i was on the lookout for some cool bargains, and came accross this lovely skirt.
Im a bit of a mix-up of rock chick vs Sweet Lolita (see my moodboard for this look) and this vintage skirt with lace and print detail fits the bill perfectly for this summer. I loved the stiff interior lining fabric which helps keeps the skirts puffy shape without underskirts. The lining, the lace, the main textile and the silhouette makes me date it from somewhere in the 1970s, but i cant be sure.
I also bought some old bits of broken jewelery which on there own make for rather garish accessories, but my plan is to break them up and use the components in my new collection, which features a lot of gold jeweled detail on necklines and cuffs.
