Wedding at Crowcombe Court: The Ceremony

Posted on the 02 June 2017 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

I shot this wedding last December, as you can probably tell by the wintery outfits that the wedding party are wearing! My first wedding at Crowcombe Court, and what a wonderful one it was to kick off with too. It's a truly magnificent wedding venue, with the parish church sitting at the bottom of the driveway, which means that the wedding party and guests can walk direct from the ceremony to the reception - weather permitting!

We were lucky enough to have decent weather for this wedding at Crowcombe Court in Somerset, although those furry stoles were certainly required! A festive feel certainly sits well on the grandeur that is Crowcombe Court; and they'd decorated the public rooms to perfection.

It's always a pleasure to photograph a wedding ceremony, and when the church is relatively small such as this one, it gives me the opportunity to get a variety of shots without having to move around too much and risk disturbing proceedings. My FujiFilm gear is absolutely fitting for unobtrusive documentary work such as this; and what a treat to be able to capture so many special memories.

Let's take a look at some of my favourite images from the church wedding ceremony during this Crowcombe Court wedding day. For me - and I know the guests, too - it was just magical. Oh - and don't forget to check out the bridal prep blog from the same wedding, right here!
