Wedding Bands - and the Underexploited Power

Posted on the 14 January 2016 by Chhavivatwani @chhavivatwani
Wedding bands, when you wear them,
Do you feel this way too?
As if you have a special place in the world
Given by the one person you love the most?
Knowing you're no more than a mere being
Another person engaged, another finger for a ring
But wedding bands, when you wear them,
Do you feel this way too?
That love does exist?
And that you are among the chosen few
Who is entitled to see love?
Special, one of the few to see its worth
Wedding bands, when you wear them,
Do you feel this way too?
That nothing about a dreadful day,
Or a little domestic fight,
Can touch you, it keeps you safe
And you let go, comply with its power?
And wedding bands, when you wear them,
Do you feel this way too?
Like being engulfed in an aura,
An eternal heavenly bond that heals,
Powers the soul, moves on from trite-
Makes you smile despite!
Oh but these wedding bands, when you pull them off
Do you feel that way too?
Like a spell broken,
Like a fallen leaf,
Like precious power dissipated,
Lost a little each time you do?
