A few boring years,
a few less tears.
To care for another heart.
Half the lonely nights,
Twice the hopeful lights.
An obvious place to start.
One pill to erase the past;
one to make memories last.
A way to know my mind.
A few thoughtful kisses,
a few less near-misses.
The strength to be kind.
