This is week 16 of a great blog hop “What’s YOUR Song?” – one which I’m just now finally participating in, and a day late at that too – sheesh. But better late than never, right?
Why this song? Well, lately I’ve been feeling pretty gangster – personal success, family success, relationship success, career success. Every time I get what I want, something goes my way or I accomplish something I feel gangster and think to myself “Damn It Feels Good to be a Gangster.”
This song is old, from when I was a teenager and many of you may know it from the scene in movie “Office Space.”
You know what being Gangster means? It means
- being on point
- handling your business
- not worrying about other people’s business
- having confidence
- having the nerve to say what needs to be said
- being gracious
- being respectful
- being appreciative and humble, which is different than being weak
