What the Blog Won’t Tell You: Sickasaurus Rex

Posted on the 25 January 2014 by Rarasaur @rarasaur

I’ve mentioned before how awful I am when I’m sick, but I never seem to be able to translate it completely–so I figured it would be a great place to start my “What the Blog Won’t Tell You” series.

I’ve asked my husband to explain his perspective on this, using a non-text medium.  I hope it makes you smile as much as it made me smile!  Enjoy!

In dire or emergency situations, I’m actually pretty handy.  I’ve been the helping hand through more births, heart attacks, strokes, seizures, fires, and broken bones than I care to remember.

When it comes to the little things, though– like flus and headcolds– I’m a pretty awful caretaker.  I’m hyper, stubborn, suspicious of medicine, and forgetful.

Those same things also make me a nightmare patient.

I don’t like to cough, and if you happen to be around when I’m coughing– I’ll scowl at you.  (It was probably your fault.)  I don’t like being stuck in bed, and if I am stuck in bed, it’s probably because I’m about to die– and no, you can’t have my radio.  The grumpiness and drama of me-with-a-cold is hard to explain in mere text –but I think this did the trick!

Are you a good patient and caretaker?
