When the Universe Seems to Be Chanting "Quit! Quit! Quit!" What Did You Do in 2012?

Reverb12 grave and gloriousThis prompt comes from Grave and Most Glorious, a blog I never visited until today. I love the bloggers writing voice and her photos are awesome. That said, I also enjoyed this prompt:

When did you really want to call it quits? (Did you?)

A couple “calling it quits” come to mind for me.

That's it! Quit I say... I'm done here! That's it!I called it quits with a certain friend. Well, I do occasionally still speak to him on the telephone, primarily because when he is with me he is mostly who I have known him to be. I don’t reach out to him often, but sometimes I guess he will have the right words to say and he usually does.

I cut him off from my facebook so none of his “Ohmigawsh, I cannot bear to read another one of these ‘are you kidding me?’ notes I see on his facebook page!” It has worked wonders to not be able to connect there, at least for me. He hasn’t said anything about me unfriending him. He is probably too busy with his other escapades to notice anyway, now that I think of it!

I almost called it quits with love.

I didn’t.

I still have a wobbly feeling in my belly, but for now I am continuing to move forward.

I called it sabbatical for my education committees. With my bout with melanoma, I purposefully withdrew from activities and didn’t push myself with anything I didn’t feel would be good for me to do. I missed out on a lot of normal for me activities, but I think it has been better for me to lay low.

Interesting: I have called it quits, I haven’t called it quits and I have called it a breather.

I will be interested to see where I land six, nine and twelve months from now.... and hey, What did YOU do when the Universe seemed to be chanting QUIT! QUIT! QUIT!
