I work freelance for some small fashion companies who are just starting out, but really im searching for permanent work in a fashion house.
Paris is expensive yes, compared to the USA for example but for me it is worth it because the lifestyle is much more to my liking. I will say that its not a difficult place to live if you really have a goal and enjoy the fast paced city life, but it was a real culture shock for me, not quite as i had thought. The food is different, the way of life is different in a way that i cant really describe, not to mention the language! Its a far cry from the Paris i once visited for a romantic weekend lol
If your thinking of coming to Paris, by all means why not? but give it a chance to grow on you, Ive been here for almost 2 years and im only really beginning to feel settled. It really is a city for culture and inspiration, perfect for a designer like myself!
